1. Which services this policy covers
We build software for different businesses. The information handled depends on the application and features you use. This policy applies where MarketInc operates the service or handles information in providing it. It does not mean that every application accesses every category of information described below.
For client-branded applications, including the Apex Pest Control CRM, the business using the application decides how its customer and operational records are used. MarketInc may provide development, hosting, maintenance and technical support on that business’s behalf. That business’s own privacy notice also applies to its customer relationships. Contact the business first about its records, or contact us and identify the application so we can direct your request appropriately.
2. Information we collect
- Enquiries and account information: your name, business, email address, phone number, account identifiers, role, preferences and correspondence you provide.
- Application records: information entered or uploaded into the service, which may include customer contact details, service addresses, enquiries, appointments, job notes, photographs, quotations, invoice records and communication history, where those features are enabled.
- Connected-service information: the account details and records needed for an integration you or an authorised administrator chooses to connect, as explained below and in that application’s connection flow.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, session and security events, error logs, pages visited and interactions with the service. Enquiry attribution may include referral sources, campaign parameters and advertising click identifiers.
We collect information from you, the business administering your account, your use of the service, and providers you authorise us to connect. Please only upload information you are entitled to share. Do not submit sensitive information unless it is needed for a feature and the business has explained how it will be handled.
3. How we use information
We use information to respond to requests, provide and support services, manage accounts and permissions, run authorised workflows, display reports, maintain records, diagnose faults, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Where you subscribe to updates or otherwise permit marketing, we use your contact details for those communications; you can unsubscribe or contact us to stop them. Information submitted solely for an enquiry is used to handle that enquiry.
4. Google sign-in and Google API integrations
A Google connection is optional unless it is necessary for the particular feature you choose. Google’s permission screen identifies the access requested. We do not receive your Google password.
- Identity: when Google sign-in is offered, basic profile information, email address and a Google account identifier may be used to identify your account.
- Google Ads: a connected reporting feature may retrieve authorised advertising account identifiers, campaign details and performance measures such as spend, impressions, clicks and conversions to show marketing results alongside CRM outcomes.
- Other Google integrations: an app may offer Analytics, Search Console or another Google service. Its connection notice must explain the records accessed and their purpose before you connect it. This policy does not by itself authorise access to your Gmail messages, Drive files, contacts or calendar.
We store connection identifiers, authorisation tokens and retrieved records as needed to maintain the connection and provide its reports or workflows. Background synchronisation may continue while the connection is authorised. Authorised users in the relevant business workspace may see the resulting reports. Connecting reporting does not itself authorise unrelated changes to your Google account; any write feature must be explained and authorised separately.
Google data commitments: MarketInc’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements where applicable. Google user data is used for the disclosed, user-facing features. It is not sold, supplied to data brokers, used to serve personalised advertising, used for credit decisions, or used to train general-purpose AI models. Access by personnel is restricted to situations permitted by Google’s policy, such as your specific consent, security investigation or a legal requirement. Transfers are limited to permitted service delivery, security, legal and other policy-authorised purposes; these restrictions also apply to relevant service providers.
5. Service providers and disclosures
Information may be processed by providers of hosting, infrastructure, communications, authentication and other features needed to deliver the service. We limit disclosure to what is needed for that purpose. Records in a business workspace are available to its authorised users according to their permissions. An integration you enable may send information to its named provider as explained in that feature.
We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents or protect legal rights. If our business is transferred, information will remain subject to applicable privacy obligations; Google data is additionally subject to Google’s transfer requirements. We do not sell personal information.
6. Storage, overseas processing and security
Our services use cloud infrastructure and may process information outside Australia. For example, the Apex CRM hosting infrastructure is located in India. Other applications and providers may use different locations, including the United States. Contact us with the application name for information about its hosting and relevant providers.
We use safeguards appropriate to the service, including encrypted network connections, controlled system access and restricted handling of credentials. Security also depends on your account practices and your business administrator’s permissions. No internet service can guarantee complete security. Please notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain information for the purposes described in this policy, including operating the service, maintaining necessary business records, resolving disputes and meeting legal obligations. Retention varies by record type and the business’s requirements. There is no single retention period for every application.
You can request deletion of your account, connected Google data or other personal information by emailing hello@marketinc.com.au with the application name and account email. Do not send passwords or access tokens. We may verify your identity and, for business-controlled records, coordinate with the responsible business. We will explain any information that must be retained and why. Deleted information may remain in restricted backups until those backups expire under the service’s backup cycle.
8. Disconnecting Google and other services
You can revoke Google access through your Google Account connections settings. Use the application’s disconnect control where available, or contact us to remove the connection. Revocation prevents further authorised retrieval once it takes effect; features depending on that connection may stop working. Disconnecting does not automatically erase records previously imported into a business workspace. Request deletion separately using the process above.
9. Cookies and website measurement
Our websites and applications may use cookies or similar storage for sign-in, security, preferences and website measurement. Marketing pages may use analytics or advertising measurement where configured. These website activities are separate from access to data through a connected Google account. You can manage cookies in your browser and use any consent controls shown by the service. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or other features from working.
10. Access, corrections and complaints
Contact our privacy contact to request access to or correction of personal information, raise a concern, or ask about this policy. Identify the application and explain your request. We may need to verify your identity before releasing information. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain the reason, subject to legal restrictions.
We aim to respond to privacy complaints within 30 days. If a matter needs longer, we will explain the next steps. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, where the complaint falls within its jurisdiction. This policy does not limit rights available under applicable privacy law.
11. Children and external services
Our business services are intended for adults and business users, not directed to children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately. Third-party websites and independently operated services have their own privacy policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and show the revised date above. Material changes may also be communicated in the relevant application or directly to affected users. Where new consent is required, we will request it before using information for the new purpose.
